Product description
The inclinometer module is available in 3 different versions. Ther are two single axis modules: MVINC-CO-1 providing single axis -85 to + 85 degrees measuring range and MVCIN-CO-1-360 which provides 360 degrees measuring range. The third type is MVINC-CO-2 which provides two measuring axes and -85 ... + 85 degrees measuring range for them both.
In addition of the angle data the sensor provides angular velocity and acceleration data.
The nominal accuracy of the modules is +-0.2°. Raw inclination information is filtered with advanced two-stage digital filter to remove the effects of vibrations and other interferences. The single axis 360 degrees module provides extra protection against external accelerations.
These modules are designed for harsh environments. They are mounted in an IP65-protected case, and an IP67 is also available on request. The standard module has spring-loaded connectors inside the module case, which require no seperate external connectors for the wiring. The module can also be supplied with customer-specific connectors.
Power supply for the module can be on the range 9 - 35V. The module is protected against reverse battery connection, overvoltage, and load-dump situations.
Inclination information is available on RS-232 and CAN buses. A connector for RS-232 or CAN (or both) of desired type can be mounted on the case on request. The sensor is available with CANopen protocol. The CAN bus node id and baudrate can be changed through the RS-232 interface using normal terminal software or through the CAN with the LSS protocol.
Applications
Typical applications include for example:
- mobile machinery, vehicles, work machines
- cranes, elevators
- robotics, material handling machines
